The first stabilized hybrid in the cannabis world! In the late 70’s a secret growing club in Bay Area of Northern California named Sacred Seeds collaborated on this strain, but it was Sam “Skunkman” that perfected the breed. Starting with Afghani x C. Gold, the experiment was difficult as it was hard to cross with C. Gold. He added A. Gold to the mix and the plant stabilized, reducing flower time and packing on more bud and resins. It went on sale in 1978 and sold out every year at $2 a seed. In 1982 Sacred Seeds was busted, Sam and others were arrested. Sam was released in few hours, he grabbed his suitcase full of seeds and moved to Amsterdam…over 100 hybrids have been created using Sam’s SK#1.
