Thai Sativa is one of the oldest sativa’s that most likely originated from seeds directly from the Hindu Kush region. Like other strains from around the world, the plants genetics changed to adopt to the climate. Being cultivated in Thailand’s tropic region it took on sativa traits over the many years. Sold in the US, Canada and EU in the 60’s and 70’s, Thai buds came wrapped on a stick and were sold for $10-$20 a stick. Thailand is home to Bangkok, and weed is still very illegal and carries sentences that are the same a heroin. This strain helped create strains like Juicy Fruit, Voodoo, and the classic Haze.
